India Update

“But be doers of the Word,

e’ve had a lot of activity in India these past few weeks.  Heart of God International is working on expanding into two areas where there are no Churches.  Our School of the Bible is thriving and Pastors are encouraged, learning, teaching, and forging strong ties. 

Please continue to pray for the lepers, the ministries undertaken internationally, the lost, and the ministers and their families.   One branch of our India ministry brings the following request and vision for an orphanage in his area.   I like to leave his letters intact, so that you might enjoy the “flavor” of his communication.  Please pray for the vision of this Pastor and his heart for the children.  ~ Jan and Jeanice

“Dear sister, here are some orphan children suffering a lot without food, clothes, education. I write you something about them in this email. I have a heart to start an orphanage for those destitute children, but no one is coming forward to support for this ministry. Please pray and share this ministry in your blessed assembly.

Origin of the orphans:- there are nearly 15 slum areas in our town. People who live in the slum areas are not much educated and most of them are addicts of bad habits, like alcoholism, debauching, gambling and all the other bad habits. Because of these reasons they are affected with AIDS and some other diseases. Since they are very poor and daily laborers, and having no money to get treatment they die very soon. As soon as father dies the mother also die. Because of these reasons children are left orphans. 

Position of the children:-   since no one is taking care of them the children who were left as orphans become child laborers, street beggars to get some food to get rid of hunger, female children when they grow teenage become prostitutes and begets children in their teenage. since no one is taking care of them, they are spoiling their lives and before the age of 18-20 they become AIDS patients and soon dying.  Male children also become addicts of bad habits, like alcoholism, drugs, gambling and they too die before the age.

Their future:-  If we can extend our kind hearted cooperation for these children we can stop the children from spoiling their lives. If we provide them education, clothes and food they will not spoil their lives but become good people in the society and they can live good life and become useful to the society. We can turn their mind towards eternal life and save their souls.
