Update in Uganda

“Wherefore he is able
also to save them
to the uttermost that
come unto God by him,
seeing he ever liveth
to make intercession for
them."
Hebrews 7:25
e were anxiously awaiting news from Pastor Ruth about the shipment of shoes. Praise God they received 3 boxes before New Years and were able to pass out the shoes on New Years Day! For those still awaiting the round of boxes, biscuits, and sweets were given. Three more boxes should be arriving very soon!
The children at Riverside Christian School are excited to see the photos and to actually see the shoes they brought in on the feet of kids around the globe! What a great picture of Christ and his love. Here is a portion of a note that I received from Pastor Ruth:
“The flip flops brought such great joy to the children, we had to give to the choir members, and the rest will receive as soon as the rest of the boxes arrive. As soon as each of the choir members had received the flip flops, they started to sing and dance, the cooks and the teachers joined in, this was on New Year’s day.
We had sweets and biscuits for the rest of the children.May the Lord bless all the children in the U.S.A who worked tirelessly to make sure that their brothers and sisters from the Africa receive help. “ Although all the details have not been completely hammered out, we do have a date set for our mission trip.
We'll be heading over to Tororo Uganda from June 20-30th. Once we get all our official applications in, and have an accurate head count, we'll start making reservations for airfare and hotel accomadations. The airport is 6 hours from our destination.
Prayers are needed in all areas of this trip, for funding, for missions work, for the children, for travel mercies, for the families that are waiting at home while their loved ones are following Gods lead and taking His Truth, His Love and His Mercy to Uganda.
In His Grip,
Denise
