he emails continue to come in from parents, siblings, friends, grandparents, youth pastors, Sunday School teachers, doctors, nurses, and more.  It is becoming increasingly evident that when faced with war, even those who do not even have an assurance of salvation suddenly feel the need to know the One True God.

A youth pastor writes requesting Bibles and Bible Study Materials for one or more in his congregation who is being deployed.

A father writes baring his heart as he does his best to equip his son with everything necessary for survival—emotional as well as spiritual.

A co-worker writes about her friend whose daughter is being deployed, knowing it is the greatest act of love she can express by providing eternal gifts through the Word of God and study material.

A chaplain calls with an urgent request—more troops than they can supply with complete Bibles, not just the New Testament and Psalms.

A chaplain assistant emails with an urgent request when she realizes their supply of Bibles is limited and they have no supporting material to offer newly-deployed men and women.

A doctor at a VA hospital emails sharing the opportunities he has to put Bibles into the hands of the veterans and seeks our assistance.

The list of opportunities to provide Bibles and quality Bible Study material continues to grow each week.  Some weeks we’ll receive requests for literally thousands of complete Bibles and supporting materials.  Other weeks, we’ll receive simple requests like the letter below from a mother wanting to equip her son with eternal truths:

“Dear Soldiers Bible Ministry,

I'm almost ashamed to be emailing you to request a bible for my son who has recently deployed to Afghanistan.  Although I wanted so badly to purchase a bible for him to take with him I was financially unable to do so. Then I heard about your ministry on the internet and knew that God directed me to your site. Thank you so much for your organization and all you do for our troops.
 
God Bless you all …”

Soldiers Bible Ministry is all about fulfilling the Great Commission by distributing the Word of God—the COMPLETE Bible—to all military personnel.  It has been an amazing endeavor thus far, watching God open doors that had originally been shut, putting us in a position to deliver life-changing truth to any who would willingly receive it. 

Each month we have an ongoing need for at least 1,000 Bibles.  That’s over and above the outstanding requests for several thousand Bibles to meet the requests we’ve received from Chaplains, both here in the US and overseas.  As the need for Bibles increases, so does our need for funding.

Please pray with us for God to move on the hearts of men and women everywhere to help us put Bibles into the hands of our military men and women, our allied troops working side-by-side with our sons and daughters, and even private citizens in the countries where they’re stationed.

Pray that God will continue to give our chaplains courage to proclaim the truth of the Message of Jesus Christ, to equip our sons and daughters with the tools of spiritual warfare while our military is equipping them with the tools of natural warfare.

Pray for our troops … really pray for them and intercede on their behalf.  Pray for those in command, in every rank and in every branch of the military.
