Uganda Update

"And when they realized
that the Lord had seen their
misery and was deeply concerned
for them, they all bowed their
heads and worshipped".
Exodus 4: 31 NLT
ur journey with God to Africa has been anything short of miraculous, and we've not yet arrived in the country! The vision project has been the highlight of our plans and God's fingerprints are all over it. They are not hidden in some small spot, they are as big as they can be. I sit in wonder and awe at how He has orchestrated so many different people to come into play at just the right moment from all over the globe.
Dr. Bwonya and Dr. Vikram's team have already begun the visual screenings in Uganda. Hundreds of children are having their eyesight checked and are anxiously awaiting a blessing from God. Widows and villagers lined up by the hundreds in the early morning for a chance to be screened by these doctors. We've gone from two schools to four and are now screening over 1200 children. As the numbers were rising a silent prayer was said to God declaring that He is the God of miracles and wonders and that if it was His will, He would make a way for the glasses we had collected at the time (around 350) to fill every child, woman and man that had been screened and had a need. The next morning a message was sent that a donation of 1500 pair of glasses came in. What an amazing truth about trusting God with details. This is just one of a number of similar instances that have us jumping and praising God for giving us the vision He had planned and being able to share in his work. Pastor Ruth, Dr. Bwonya and Dr. Vikram have all been instrumental in helping this come to fruition. This will most definitely be a testimony for many lives, including my own.
Please pray for our trip as we continue to prepare to be used and to watch as God fulfills His vision and calling as His Word and truth go forth in love and compassion.
